To be upfront - this is a sign and trade, but as I told these two parties - that rule can be negotiable at this point depending upon how the league sees it.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it as much for FAs as much as current players resigned to your own team. So this is more to test the waters to see if this now more mature version of FCM can have FAs be allowed to be traded.

I'd rather see the rule set and then we move forward with the rule, I have purposely not traded FA's due to the rule.

I personally don't think this should have been allowed unless the rule was changed beforehand. If the league / admins think it is OK to trade a FA signee, then it should become effective during an off-season - not during, as other GMs may not have been able to take advantage of this new rule when they might have otherwise.
