Brewers gets:
Shawn Gilreath SP 29 $8.1 million Arb '49 90 overall
Brian Martini RF 22 $47,100 Arb '52 76/84
Padres gets:
Joe Thurber SP 22 $47,100 Arb '52 76/88
Raul Marte RP 27 $47,100 Arb '49 74 overall
I accept. bittersweet deal for me. i really like thurber a lot, and hated dealing him (now only have 1 pitching spec in my minors, so sad), but you gotta give to get, i'll likely regret trading thurber, cause i've said no to a lot of teams that have asked over the years, but i wanna go for it. gilreath i believe can help me. martini is nothing special, but i drafted him and i like him some. overall padres get a young sp that should thrive in that park and i get more help this year to try to win. all around good trade.
