In addition to rocky's suggestion

On the moving finances back again, personally I don't think we need it. For my team we have shaved off at least 2 seasons worth of me being able to overspend on my current cash reserve (in game cash plus my bank) and that's with me not adding any salary.

We will test another decrease to see where we're at. At some point it'd be nice to force teams to make more financial decisions.

What was decided on the original #5? And what does that mean exactly...for example, sometimes you hold your offer a few times and the player eventually accepts. So are we talking 3 "different" offers or 3 total offers AND attempts? Because I don't like it if it is the later one.

We're not doing number 5.

So we will have to offer fallback for a type A player at 2 years @ 16 million? Will we have to sign him at 2 years @ 16 million? Either way this really hurts the value of the older players. Why take the risk on having to sign older players to 2 years?

Will Type B still be 1 year @ 8 million?

And for Mike to say it doesn't matter, he is wrong. Example:

I signed SP John Haller on a 1 year @ 16 million through Type A free agency last year. I was hoping he would have a great year and if my younger starters develop to offer Haller Type A or Type B. With a 2 @ 16 million dollar deal having to be offered and his age at 34, I don't see that happening. So, a quick rule change will interfere with my original plan.

Will budgets be tighting more next year? With the trade deadline looming, I would like to know before I added any salary.

Type A will be 2/16 for qualifying offer. Type B will be 1/8. Older players should be Type B, so yes it does devalue them....but that's part of the point. They are overvalued right now so we're trying to level it.

I experimented with some things last night, I think right now the file will stay as is through 2047. I want to let things play out a bit. Another -10% dip looked to cut league profits in half, I'm not sure I want that drastic of a measure.
