Dodgers approve. Pick up 2 top notch pitchers that should boost my move into the playoffs and gives me a chance to pick up some wins in playoffs. Both are young enough to assist me in winning the next few years. Moving Mason will allow me to have more free agency flexibility during the offseason. If I used those 4 draft picks, I would consider it a success if 2 of them turned out as good as Fred and Shap.

I was hoping to use Fred to land picks next year but this was a good deal for me to make here. I'm giving up some talent but I have a lot of targets in this draft I like. Now I have more ammo to get them and really get some things going in Oakland's minors.
