Petco Field
#1
San Diego Petco Field is the largest park in baseball. It continously destroys hitters numbers. A large reason for this is because the park factor is also the highest in Mogul. Factor all this in with the fact that they play the game at sea level, and you have a nightmare for hitters. It seems to put hitters in slumps and when they travel they don't hit any better.

I am not even proposing we change the dimensions of Petco. Mogul has put terrible factors on Petco. I propose that the "stadium effects" button be clicked. Then the "park factor" button be clicked. This makes the ballpark play like the stadium that it is, instead of the Mogul curse that was put on it.

I am looking for a solution for this offseason.

Still looking for some comments, assistance, or help from moderaters, etc? Or you can ignore the problem that Petco has been for years on this site and look for a new owner for the Padres.

maybe an admin will comment on a suggestion/solution to this problem.

Sean is on vacation and DJ has posted he needed to be away for a short while. If hokey can't help without their consent, I'm sure it will be handled right away when they get back to full strength.

this will be dealt with at the end of the season. I had not seen the post until it was mentioned.

in 2011, the only thing we have is the "calculate effects" on the stadium. There is no "stadium effects" or "park factor" that I can find in any of the 2011 options in this game. Are you looking at 2012 or 2013 version for those options?

not at all on board with calculating stadiums. mogul, whenever it uses the calculate tool, has no idea about the wall heights and only uses the perimeter dimensions to calculate it. Mogul was set up with these numbers in the initial file because they are the real world numbers for the park. calculating it only screws that up.

We use the 2011 version in this league per the rules. I am pretty sure we haven't made a definite decision on whether we are switching to 2013.
