Future Cash:
The New York Mets shall pay the Arizona Diamondbacks a cash payment of $10 million in each of the 2024, 2025 and 2026 Spring Training sims.
Terms are:
1. Kyle Skipworth must accept his Player Option at the end of this season
2. Skipworth must be on the Arizona Diamondbacks roster (MLB or farm) at the time of each of the Spring Training sims.
Mets accept, this is clearly a deal to save money. I will be saving around $21 million with this deal. Skipworth is still a top catcher and we wish him the best in Arizona, maybe the desert weather will be good to him.
