The Mets would like to bring to you and Roy's attention in our willingness to upgrade our roster in an attempt to compete. We just picked up a lead off hitter in Ellsbury and a starting 2B in LaRoche.

We would like to upgrade our last (and previous final) offer of 5 years x $20 million. Now that we know this trade has gone through, we wish to make our final offer 6 years x $20 million with a full NTC.

We have confidence in our team and in Halladay. We feel we have shown Halladay a great offer and hope that Halladay decides to take his talents to New York and play for the Mets.

Doc is excited to go to the NYM and can't wait to help return them to the top of the NL East.
