Matt Thames 2B 27 $5 million Arb '78 84 overall
Angels gets:
Braves 2nd round pick (#49 overall)
Braves 3rd round pick (#79 overall)
Braves 4th round pick (#109 overall)
Rangers 4th round pick (#97 overall)
we accept. i hated giving up those picks because they are solid picks and i like a good bit of players in this draft, but Thames helps us at a position of need so we trade quality with quantity to the rebuilding angels, who has a nice chance to hit with a few of these picks.
