I agree, I'll be moving Jose to 2B until McCafferty develops. He will probably switch on and off at 3B and 2B b/c of the deal earlier w/ Cincy to bring in Gilcrest, who will be doing other stuff himself.
Yes Jose is costly, but it brings in a prospect and Hoover is a guy anyone can pick up in FA so it's not a huge loss there.
The cash is to pay for Jose's contract b/c he's injured the rest of the season(and I could possibly buy him out for 50% less b/c of the new rule???) But I'm expected to release Kemp and JJ this offseason so, it's not a HUGE financial risk as it appears to be.
