I like what I see from Resnick. He has 3 pitches that are at 90 or very close, he is young and I think he can pitch well in my park. Its a big gamble to trade some picks like that, but I am not extremely excited about this draft class.

I believe its worth the gamble, we'll see!

As much as this deal is a gamble for Gilly, I feel like it's more of a gamble for me. I'm dealing what seems to be a very solid pitcher who could have been a mainstay in my rotation for the next 6 or so seasons for a few players who could turn out to be stars, or they could just as easily never make it to the show. As a team with one of the weakest farms in the league I felt like this deal or a deal like this was absolutely necessary to keep us from having to completely rebuild in a few seasons.
