For me, I need to cut back a little salary with some players needed big contracts soon, I have 2 players (Thompson and Hughes) that can platoon the spot by Newcomb and get me the same production. I get 2 prospects for the future and someone that can help me in the back of the rotation or long relief for a couple years on the cheap.

I accept. Hate to lose Bunce, but Newcomb is still relatively young. Swint wasn't going to make my rotation or my bullpen so his loss doesn't mean much to me. I also get some cash in the trade. That will go a long way in me saving for a new stadium.
