Minnesota Twins trade:

1B Joe James (86) - pennies until 2069
SP Sean Wilcox (74/81) - pennies until 2072

for

CF Jacob Beisel (93) - 17.5 million until 2069

I accept. Slightly more expensive for me trading for a older player, but there is always opportunities to improve roster and if he doesn't work I can always comp him.

I'm going to suggest a rare veto on this deal for a couple reasons. Firstly because there should be zero value equated to him being able to be comp'd because he can't be. To be comp'd he would have to have been traded for during the off-season. So if you want to comp him it's going to require you extending him. Secondly, does this really add to your team? You stand zero chance to make the playoffs. Beisel and James are pretty similar bats. Sure Beisel upgrades your CF spot greatly but with playoffs out the window why waste the money on Beisel? To boot you threw in a spec that maybe becomes a long relief option for again very little benefit for a team in your situation. Not trying to ruffle feathers here but imo this trade makes little sense given the explanation provided on the twins behalf.

I let Minny know he'd have to give him a one year deal this offseason to Comp B him next year. So that was on the table.
