I like Jenkins & last night's first round pick Tylan Brown, but this is a deal I have to take to try to solidify my #5 spot in the rotation and give me insurance in case of injury

Cubs agree, I get better compensation for a pitcher that I got at minimal cost in the offseason. I really like Brown and I was praying that he would fall to me in the 2nd round, I also really like the upside of Jenkins. I would not have been able to resign Bucholz, so I shed his salary and get better compensation than I would have received in the offseason.
