2043 Top 10 Hitting Prospects
#1
To be eligible you must meet the following requirements:

Under 25
Less than 500 MLB at bats
Unpeaked

Note: I'm looking toward guys that are almost/or major league ready. I'm not trying to project guys that are 3 or more jumps away, i'm not a damn magician. Undoubtedly I will leave deserving candidates off and will probably offend some of you, I don't really care.

10. OF Justin Vail 86/96 (SEA) 20yo ACQ: trade w/ DET

Extremely young for his overall/potential and already has a nice contact/power combo going. Has a fantastic arm and has the chance to be solid in the field. One more nice jump and ole matty has a stud ready to put up big numbers.

9. 3B James DelVecchio 88/94 (LAA) 23yo ACQ: trade w/ TEX

Young promising 3B prospects are like gold and DelVecchio is the best (my opinion, dude). Another contact/power guy that with one more jump will having very nice hitting tools. James peak defensively would be average, that's about all he can hope for.

8. OF Wayne Quarles 93/95 (NYM) 23yo ACQ: 3rd round pick

Quarles is probably about where he will at a peaked number but by my guidelines he's still a prospect, damnit! He has a very good trio of hitting vitals and looks to be well rounded in that area. He's solid on defense and has a good health number as well.

7. OF Norman Poe 82/90 (HOU) 22yo ACQ: 2nd round pick

HOMER ALERT!!!!! Poe already owns a fantastic contact/speed combo with his eye barely behind the other two. Has a chance to be very good defensively as well with a nice jump which with 8 between his overall and potential is likely, hopefully. Hopefully. I really hope.

6. OF Raphael Martus 89/93 (FLA) 24yo ACQ: trade w/ PHI

Martus is close to his peak but if he can get to 93 he'll be a ferocious hitter. His contact and eye are already good with his eye right there as well. Being an average defender is likely the best martus could hope for in the future.

5. 1B James Lamattina 92/94 (STL) 22yo ACQ: 2nd round pick

This Cardinal slugger already owns a 99 contact vitals with good power and a solid eye and his already putting up good numbers in the show. What's holding him back from being higher up the list is subpar defense and playing a readily available position league wide.

4. C Josh Dyball 93/94 (PHI) 24yo ACQ: 3rd round pick

Dyball mans a premium position and plays very good defensive behind the dish. Josh already boasts a fantastic power/eye combo and has passable contact.

3. SS Marquitz Orozio 80/93 (TOR) 21yo ACQ: 2nd round pick

Orozio has great vitals as a defender and plays a position of great value in this league. He's also far enough from his peak to expect another couple jumps which would make him one of the premium players in all the file. His hitting vitals will need those jumps.

2. 2B Sean Zimmerman 88/92 (CLE) 24yo ACQ: trade w/ BAL

Zimmerman is already performing in the majors and at a very useful position in FCM. He plays very good defense and has elite contact and solid power for a 2B. If he can somehow squeeze out another jump he'll be a fantastic piece for Hick. Unless he trades him to me in the offseason.

1. 1B Saul Foristar 93/95 (TOR) 24yo ACQ: 1st round pick

I know you will all freak out that I have a 1B as the top hitting prospect but that's fine with me. Foristar doesn't play a premium position and his defense is Peter-esque but the dude can straight hit. Assuming he stays healthy he'll be a middle of the order thumper for years on end, and that sucks because he plays on Andy's team.

Time for you to hate.

G$, go on with your bad self.
