COL-DET Trade - mattynokes - 11-17-2011 :COL: Gets: LF Dashon Cooper 84 (Age 32) - $1.0M thru '25 :DET: Gets: SP Alex Hunt 75/79 (Age 24) - $Draft Day --------- I understand Cooper was just signed, but as I look up I don't have a true LF in place. He can start here instead of being buried on the bench and Hunt is way down the SP totem pole. RE: COL-DET Trade - Atlbravesfan27 - 11-17-2011 DET accepts. i accidentally signed too many OF's, needed to get rid of one, so, he goes RE: COL-DET Trade - hokeyrules - 11-17-2011 approve RE: COL-DET Trade - jps93 - 11-17-2011 just signed? Isn't this a sign and trade? RE: COL-DET Trade - mattynokes - 11-17-2011 (11-17-2011, 06:38 PM)jps93 Wrote: just signed? Isn't this a sign and trade? Both sides have acknowledged that it's a sign and trade. I'm perfectly alright with that since I was looking at Bickford to be my LF and recently decided he needs another year in Triple-A. At this point in FA, there aren't many viable options left. With Burned realizing he's oversigned OFs, it's likely Cooper will be relegated to a bench role. Here, in Colorado, he'll be able to play everyday. We could sit here and hold tightly to the fact that it's a sign and trade or we could realize that this situation benefits Cooper much more than remaining on Detroit.
