Mets accept, short term fix for the lack of my SP. Spiegle is 3rd on my 1B depth chart, Fernandez is doesn't fit into our plans and the cash is expendable. Not many teams are giving up SP right now and Li gives me a reliable guy for the top of my rotation.

Baltimore agrees to the deal.
No way baltimore wins the league, and Li is old and even if he becomes compensaiton he will not be a type A next year.
