We save a little short-term salary, get a little younger in leadoff, pick up a decent spec for taking on the longer contract.

Mets accept, in the end we shed around $30 million total salary, and get away from a McCutchen contract I've regretted since giving it to him. Teeter has never factored into our long term plans.
Ellsbury returns for his second tour with the Mets, where he had quite possibly his best Mogul season.
