Accept. I just signed Brown to a long-term deal this offseason with the full intention of keeping him, Norris, Romero, Barroca, Bennion, the whole crew, the World-Series-winning crew, together and in tact. However, seeing as how some of those players have under-performed, some have had their vitals inflated, some have declined in value and in skill, I have decided to dismantle the team. Norris is already gone and Barroca is on the block, but Brown is the third major piece to go.
I get a good SP spect and a good OF spect in return, with a plus C spect and a good 4-5 starter in Ramirez. It is time to move forward with the team and start over again.

I really have wanted to build up the farm recently but need a few more pieces to really contend the next few years. Brown lengthens a short lineup and Mefford hopefully gives me much needed pen help. If Brown starts to decline now i'll punch a baby in the face.
