COL/TEX Waiver deal - cadmus2166 - 05-10-2015 receives: SP Brian Tikaran 91, 29 yrs, $9.0M thru '54 SP Kevin Ward 63/82, 22 yrs, $Nothing receives: LF Todd Latham 80, 26 yrs, $500k thru '54 SP Peter Sherborne 81, 29 yrs, $Nothing SP Russell Baron 69/87, 18 yrs, $Nothing SP Jared Young 72/79, 21 yrs, $Nothing COL accepts. Tikaran will be a nice addition to my rotation and is young enough to stick with my team core for awhile. Ward has some nice upside as a spec, as well. I hate giving up Baron, who I just acquired, but I'm trying to win now and he's several seasons away yet. Sherborne was just sitting in AAA, and Latham was on his way out of COL in the offseason.
