CIN/BAL - jps93 - 11-08-2010 :CIN receives: 1B Adrian Gonzalez 79 $2M cash :BAL receives: SP Noah Scurlock 53/73 RP Gabriel Abiles 51/71 accept. I get cash to cover most of adrian's buyout in case I don't like him, he's a fan favorite and he's be great against righties while I'm waiting for miller. A platoon of him and reimold will hopefully be better than fernandez last year. RE: CIN/BAL - 'PR' - 11-08-2010 Baltimore accepts. It would have cost us a little over $3M to cut Adrian now that we have Tillotson and Welgarz. Why not get 2 specs and save $1.25M along with losing $6M in payroll? RE: CIN/BAL - AndyP - 11-08-2010 Approved RE: CIN/BAL - Jordan - 11-09-2010 Approve RE: CIN/BAL - Scott - 11-09-2010 DENIED! "Players with a contract over 3M cannot be traded for 12 months." BALTIMORE FINED 5M AS HE SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED THIS RULE TO ME EARLIER RE: CIN/BAL - Jordan - 11-09-2010 He's been with Baltimore this whole time, and got the fallback offer, this looks like a loophole. I wont put the trade in but I wont jump to fine him just yet, i'd like DJ to look at this, because im not sure where the rules would stand with a guy who has been with baltimore. I thought the rule was like for new FAs a team signs, not basicly a contract extension as thats what you have here. RE: CIN/BAL - 'PR' - 11-09-2010 HELLO....SCOTTY......WE OFFERED ARBY TO GONZO....WE DIDN'T SIGN HIM.....HE CHOSE TO COME BACK BECAUSE HE DIDN'T GET A BETTER DEAL. WE CAN DEAL HIM IF WE WANT UNDER THOSE TERMS. RE: CIN/BAL - Jordan - 11-09-2010 Mstrpr is right. Done |
