Gomez is killing it this year and his career ERA is tremendous. We want to keep him, we love what he is capable of, but in this rebuild effort we don't see a need to keep someone like him around. We love Stroud in this deal to seal it as well. Great for both parties.

I accept this trade. I get a solid addition to my rotation but I lose a young guy in Strout whom will surely be missed.
