Yanks accept. It was a quick, steep decline for Mr Emerick. He was going to be sitting in my minors this year collecting a paycheck. By this trade, I pretty much just got $7.9m for a 5th round pick. While Matty gets an OF who actually is still a good platoon guy vs Righties, vitals wise at least. Along with the pick and only has to pay the $7.9m remaining on his contract.

I've always liked Emerick (hell, I essentially drafted him) and here's to hoping he has one year left in the tank.
