Saves me more money in the long run which I need after winning Pepper. Baer would have been one of the hodge podge people I'd throw in the pen or be the next guy to get called up if an SP is hurt to take over the Long relief spot thus making him expendable.

I accept, Puller and Baer are both former elite pitchers but Baer has held up a bit better. I give up a bit of cash (which I have lots of) to upgrade from a guy I would never use (Puller), to a guy I might use in case of injury (Baer).
