Handling the Arms Rating - AndyP - 07-02-2013 So from what we can see drafts are generally producing realistic arms. So now the question is...how do we handle current players? Here are some thoughts I had: 1. For some older players we might be able to look back at old files and find arm ratings, but as players age those fluctuate anyway, so IMO we don't even concern ourselves with that. 2. We could have GMs submit players for consideration. 3. I would say the easiest thing to do would be to make a list of all outfielders to be considered. We go to the same randomizing site we use for winterball and put the range from 68-98 and just generate a random list and assign players that way. Thoughts/ideas? RE: Handling the Arms Rating - mike - 07-02-2013 Would entering in their predicted stats that the game already has generated not work? RE: Handling the Arms Rating - AndyP - 07-02-2013 That may work, I'd have to test with more players. Anybody have some older players they know had a good arm rating previously? RE: Handling the Arms Rating - mike - 07-02-2013 Peter Helm had an arm in the 90's. RE: Handling the Arms Rating - AndyP - 07-02-2013 You're right mike, that will work. So scratch this thread - got it working! Thanks! |
