NYY/ATL [blockbuster] - bh1225 - 08-12-2012 trades: Braves 5th round pick [135 overall pick] SP Jim Cote 93 31yo 19M thru 2033 [note: we are buying out the NTC, the 20% rule will be used. This is just under 19M, with the player option.] SP Jason Amphlett 76 30yo 5M thru 2031 [JUST traded from SD in Kearsey deal] 1M cash (for the NTC) trades: Yankees 1st round pick [19 overall pick] Yankees 2nd round pick [49 overall pick] Yankees 3rd round pick [79 overall pick] SP Brandon Anderson 77/86 25yo $nothing RP Eddie Jones 52/89 18yo $nothing LF Phil Smith 78 34 yo 16.7M thru 2031 17.78M cash (for the NTC) [note: this is a quick calculation. Whatever the total is, it's around this amount.. I will be paying 1M total, the rest is NYYs] We accept. Cote is a true ace, and this isn't the biggest turnout we wanted for him, but to lose that contract is a big deal. As he has the 3 years remaining and THEN that player option. Anderson isn't great, Jones is solid but I hope to convert him into a starter. The picks are going to be nice to have. We also traded Smiths 1 year salary for Amphlett so it will help NYY a little in that department, but as said before Cote's isn't just a one year deal. Plus atlanta fans might enjoy watching his fielding blunders. RE: NYY/ATL [blockbuster] - piazza31 - 08-12-2012 yah i lose my entire cash again, my entire farm and get a true ace and a shit sp we accept RE: NYY/ATL [blockbuster] - AndyP - 08-12-2012 I could be wrong but I think only 11M is necessary for the NTC? RE: NYY/ATL [blockbuster] - bh1225 - 08-12-2012 I don't even know with the new rules. Please let us know what the total would be.... But Atlanta will still pay 1M of it, while the Yankees do the rest. Piazza, if you wanna save money look into this. RE: NYY/ATL [blockbuster] - piazza31 - 08-12-2012 take 1mil from atlanta and rest from nyy i should be able to cover it after all the deals i made RE: NYY/ATL [blockbuster] - AndyP - 08-13-2012 It seems about right then, approved RE: NYY/ATL [blockbuster] - mattynokes - 08-13-2012 Yes the total is correct since the player option needs to be factored.
