something needs to be done about health, but, as far as fixing them in draft, health sometimes will skew the overall/peak of a player and can be a bit misleading

I guess bland is different for each person, as I see all teams having equal expenses with no inflation and low injury rates as being pretty bland (and commie)

psbaseball I edited you in.

RE: Poll: Offseason Adjustments - GoIrish - 12-09-2010

I voted as well before that option was up.

In regards to injuries, I just think something needs to be done because we are seeing too many of them across the board, I know we want to mimic real life baseball but the frequency of these injuries are too much. Another thought is if people don't want to equalize the spending. Have the spending we put into it to have more of an influence (reallocation on some of the magic pixie dust). There are plenty of teams that are max spending on farm and then spend 10-15M on their medical. Then there are others that spend max on farm and 30-35M on medical. I am not home with the game but I know there is an option to increase the benefit of medical spending. This would make people spending more have a better chance of having less injuries, which would make most logical sense.

Thanks DJ for looking into all of this.

Sean

I forgot to click on that button too.

I already accounted for everyone who voted ahead of time. I included Sean, Mstrpr, everyone that had previously voted in that number. I am able to see who voted for what so I just counted all the people that had already voted and added that number to the final option when I added it, so it is accurate.

ok, thank you Jordan. Hope your finals are going well.

CHC, NYM, & NYY were all at the top of medical spending pretty much all season & all 3 teams got hit pretty hard & often by injuries. I'm not seeing how equalized medical will be a cure-all on the injury front

Personally, I think seeing 22-23 year olds peaking and ready to play in the majors as a larger problem in need of fixing (meaning up the peak starts)

RE: Poll: Offseason Adjustments - GoIrish - 12-09-2010

I say put medical staff impact to +10 or +20. This will give more meaning to the value behind it. I also agree with Nick, the bigger issue is stopping the 22-23 year old peaks.
